The purpose of The Carbonell Awards is to recognize and honor excellence in theater and the arts throughout South Florida, and in so doing:
Promote theater and the arts to the community as a whole;
Stimulate further development of the professional theater community and its audiences;
And encourage the development of the region's future theater artists through educational scholarships.

As a donor, you participate in the awards' tradition and development of national recognition for South Florida's performers and the arts, through our first and oldest tri-county regional cultural organization. Further, you contribute to scholarships for today's students determined to become our cultural ambassadors of tomorrow.

Your contribution sponsors a nominee and the nominee's guest to attend the Award Ceremony and all related functions, thereby helping to defray the cost of the nationally-recognized award program, a pillar of the Carbonell Awards' nonprofit mission.
You may choose your nominee from the list of the year's award candidates, or seek suggestions.
Your contribution also includes a direct donation of $150 to the Carbonell Scholarship Fund, every dollar of which will assist a South Florida student in his or her college-level performing arts education.
